Can I Have This Dance? (Levi x Reader)

    It was finally over. After all the losses and sacrifices, the titans were finally defeated. All of those deaths were not in vain. After years of living in a cage now everyone can live a life without fearing the outside world. The world outside the walls no longer belonged to titans but to humanity.  All of this was possible due to the hard word of every soldier, especially those of the Survey Corps. Without any of them none of this wouldn't be possible. Their last expedition which happened two days ago ended the regain of the titans. That moment when the last titan was slayed made the whole regimen cry out in happiness. When they returned and shared the news everyone rejoiced. It was almost hard to believe. After years of blood and death it was hard to believe that such freedom was even possible. Many had lost hope. Luckily the Survey Corps brought that hope back. Nobody spoke badly of the Survey Corps again. Even the Military Police started to respect them. The Survey Corps were heroes of all man kind. Now two days later a great lavish party was being held to honor the Survey Corps.  

    "Tch. Where the hell is (L/n) and the rest of the brats? We've been waiting for them for hours." Levi said annoyed.

    "Relax Levi. You know women. They like taking their sweet time when it comes to these things." Erwin told the impatient captain chucking. "Besides we've only been here for half an hour." Both of the them were standing by the refreshment table with a glass of wine in their hand as they waited for the females of the Survey Corps to arrive. The rest of the male cadets were off eating the fancy food set at another table or out mingling with the other guests.

    "I don't like waiting."

    "I'm sure once you see Cadet (L/n) you'll agree that it was worth the wait." A faint blush covered the short mans cheeks. 

    "I don't know what you're talking about." Levi said looking away making Erwin laugh. He knew very well that Levi had feelings for you but was afraid to admit them. He was afraid that if he confessed and then somehow lost you to a titan he would never heal. But now that the titans have been defeated Erwin hoped that his friend would confess once and for all. Soon the sound of the grand doors opening made the two look at the doorway. One by one the girls from the Survey Corps filed in. Levi's eyes widen when he caught sight of your figure. Sure he always thought you looked beautiful but no words could describe how heavenly you looked at the moment. Your shining (h/c) hair was no longer in a ponytail like always but rather in an elegant bun with your bangs gently falling on either side of your face. You wore a gorgeous (f/c) strapless ball gown which showed off your curvy figure and cleavage more than ever. You looked like a goddess.

    "Was it worth the wait Levi?" Erwin asked seeing him gawking at you. Levi snapped out of his trance and glared at him. 

    "Hello you two!" Hanji sang as she came over to the two of them. "Don't you two look dashing!" 

    "Hello to you Hanji. Thank you, you look beautiful this evening as well." Erwin said making her smile. She wore a long tight green dress showing her female features with her brown hair loose falling down her back in curls. "Hey Shorty what do you-" She cut herself off seeing him staring... no... glaring, at something. She turned her head to follow his head and smirked at seeing you talking with some of the male cadets who had blushes on their face. "Do you want me to call her for you?" 

    "Don't even th-"

    "Hey (Y/n)!" Hanji called ignoring the glare Levi was giving her. You looked up at hearing your name and saw Hanji waving you over to where she was.

    "It's not polite to just yell out at a party shitty glasses!" 

    "Psh. When do I ever act polite?" Hanji asked rolling her eyes. "(Y/n)!" Hanji said happily as you approached them. Levi blushed even more but did his best to hide it. "Well I have to go! Have fun!" Hanji said before running off. You stared at her retreating figure confused. Why would she call you over if she was going to leave? You would never understand her. You shrugged it of and turned to you superiors.   

    "Hello Commander Ewrin, Captain Levi." You said smiling. God why did you have be so damn cute?, Levi thought seeing your smile. "I don't think I've ever seen you in a tuxedo before Commander. It looks nice."  

    "Thank you Cadet (L/n)." Erwin said. "You look lovely yourself." You blushed making Levi glare the both of you. You turned to Levi and blushed even more. 

    "Captain, you look really handsome tonight." You told him fidgeting with your fingers. It was true. He had a nice suit on with a pair of white gloves, dress shoes, and he had his black hair combed back making his grey eyes sparkle. Levi fought back a blush and looked away.

    "Tch. You look less shitty yourself (L/n)." He said making him mentally face palm on the inside. Really? Out of all the things he could of said he just had to say that. You on the other hand smiled. You were used his language and knew that in his own way he had complimented you.  

    "T-Thank you Captain." A song started playing and Erwin excused himself saying he was going to go find Hanji. You and Levi stood there in silence as you watched people starting to dance. "So... um how are you this evening sir?" 

    "Shitty. I hate parties. To many people and everyone is always dancing." Levi said crossing his arms over his chest.

    "Oh, do you don't like dancing Captain?" You asked. 

    "Despise it."

    "Oh, I see." You said looking away. Levi looked at you hearing a bit of...disappointment in your voice? A second later Eren approached them a small blush on his face.

    "H-Hey (Y/n)." He greeted trying his best to ignore the death glare he was receiving from the Captain beside you. 

    "Hey Eren." You said smiling. 

    "You look really beautiful." 

    "Thank you. You look great yourself!" The blush on the boy worsened.

    "T-Thanks. Would you like to dance with me (Y/n)?" He asked nervously.

    "I would love to Eren!" 

    "Really?! I mean that would be great. Shall we?" He said holding a hand out to you.

    "Tch. Shitty brats." Levi muttered before leaving. You watched him leave with sad eyes before going to dance with brunette.
    
    Throughout the night Levi watched you dance with mostly every male in the room, from Eren, Jean, Connie, other cadets, to even nobles. Hell he even watched you dance with the Commander! After placing a kiss to your knuckles the Commander walked over to where Levi was sulking.

    "Having fun there Levi?" Erwin teased.

    "Shut up."

    "Why don't you ask her to dance?" 

    "I hate dancing."

    "She thinks you're mad at her you know." Levi looked up at him eyes wide. 

    "Why the hell would she think that?"

    "Because you've been glaring at her the whole night."

    "Tch. I wasn't glaring at her... I was glaring at the brats dancing with her." Erwin raised a bushy eyebrow at him. "Yes that means you too eyebrows." Erwin rolled his eyes. 

    "Well if you're not mad at her then go tell her that. She's been upset. Now's your chance." He said gesturing to you going towards the balcony.

    "No." Levi said simply. "But you know I could use some fresh air." With that he left and walked to where you went off to. The balcony was pretty big with all sorts of plants surrounding it. His grey eyes saw you leaning against the railing looking up at the night sky. The moon shined down on you giving you a lovely glow. Like he said before, a goddess. "What are you doing (L/n)?" You turned around your (e/c) eyes meeting his grey ones. 

    "Oh Captain, I just needed some air." You told him smiling a bit. "You can join me if you like." Levi said nothing but went to go stand beside you. After a few minutes of listening to the chatter and music inside he spoke up.

    "I'm not mad you." He said softly. 

    "Huh?" You asked looking at him. 

    "I said I'm not mad at you."

    "Oh... I guess the Commander told you." 

    "Yea, he did."

    "If you weren't mad then why were you glaring at me?"

    "I wasn't glare at you I was glaring at the people you were dancing with."

    "Why?"

    "Because I didn't want them dancing with you! I wanted so badly to grab you out of their arms and dance with you myself!"

    "But I thought you hated dancing." Levi was silent. 

    "I don't hate it..."

    "Then why...?"

    "It's just that I..." Levi muttered something making you look at him questioningly. 

    "What?"

    "I said..." Another mumble. 

    "I can't hear you."

    "I said I can't fucking dance alright?!" A bright blush on his cheeks. The both of you looked at each other before you burst out laughing. "Oi! Stop laughing you brat!"

    "Ahaha! I'm sorry! It's just haha!"

    "Stop it!" After a couple more minutes of laughing you calmed down. 

    "I'm sorry. It's just that you are Humanity's Strongest Solider and you always seem to know how to do everything that I guess I figured you would know how to dance. But Captain-"

    "Levi. You call me Levi." He said a small tint of pink still on his cheeks.

    "A-Alright... Levi. You could have told me you didn't know how to dance. I would have been happy to show you."

    "Tch. I know. It's just that you looked so graceful and I knew that if I asked you to dance I would somehow screw it up."

    "How about I show you now?" 

    "Um I don't think that's a good idea." You rolled your eyes and walked to the middle of the balcony as a new song began to play. 

    "Come on." You said. He still looked hesitant and stiff as he walked toward you. You smiled gently and held out your hand.

    "Take my hand," Levi gently took your outstretched hand.
    "Take a breath," He breathed in and out.
    "Pull me close," He pulled your body close to his.
    "And take one step." You moved your right foot back as he stepped forward with left.
    "Keep your eyes locked to mine," You sang gently lifting his face up making him look at you taking his gaze away from your feet.
    "And let the music be your guide." You placed one of his hand on your back and the other holding yours in dancing position. Both of you then began to slowly dance around the balcony.

    You both looked at each other smiling at each other. Your heart fluttered at seeing Levi's gentle smile.

    "You're a fast learner." You told him.

    "I have a great teacher." He said making you blush. "Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?"

    "More or less." You said giggling remembering his previous somewhat compliment.

    "Well you do." He told you stroking your face lovingly. "I love you (Y/n)." 

    "I love you too Levi." He then brought his lips to yours for a gentle kiss. Fireworks went off and you both looked up to see the different colors of the fireworks fill the night sky.

    "(Y/n) can I ask you something?"

    "Of course, what is it?" 

    "Can you please take off your heels?"

    "HUH?!"

    "Tch. You're beautiful and all but it's just that you're taller than me with those damn things on." You sighed. 

    "Oh Levi." 


~Extended Ending~

    After being with Levi for more than a year the two of you were finally married. It was just a small celebration with only a few members of the Survey Corps. Neither one of you wanted a big wedding. You both wanted to keep things simple. 
    
    "Alright everyone!" Hanji said grabbing everyone's attention. "It's time for the bride and groom to have their first dance!" Everyone clapped as Levi got up from his seat. 

    "B-But Levi we didn't practice our first dance!" You said panicked. He simply chuckled.

    "Don't worry about it. Just relax and follow me." 

    "Take my hand," He sang holding out a hand towards you. You smiled and took his hand.
    "I'll take the lead." He brought you towards the dance floor.  
    "And every turn will be safe with me." He slowly spun you around. 
    "Don't be afraid, afraid to fall." 
     "You know I'll catch you through it all." He then dipped you before bringing you back up and beginning to dance around. 
     "And you can't keep us apart (even a thousand miles, can't keep us apart)

    Everyone cheered as the two you finished your dance. You both stared at each other's eyes. 

    "You remember." You said smiling at the memory of you teaching Levi how to dance the day of the party a year ago. 

    "How could I forget? You were taller than me that day." You both laughed at the memory. 

    "You forced me to wear flats today." He smirked. 

    "Never again will you be taller than me." 

    "I was just an inch or so taller than you though!"

    "I just like it when I'm looking down at you not the other way around." You chuckled wrapping your arms around his neck.

    "I love you Mr. Ackerman."

    "I love you more Mrs. Ackerman." With that you both shared a tender kiss marking the start of your new life together.
