Lies (Eren x Titan Shifter!Reader) Sequel

    "Just make things easier for yourself and confess already you filthy brat." Levi told you as he held you by the hair, so that you were looking at him. His face was void of emotion, but his grey eyes held disgust and pure hatred toward you. You would understand why, you had turned out to be accomplice of the person who killed his whole squad. Speaking of which, after being in the same location with Annie, the Survey Corps had knocked you out and when you woke up you weren't there anymore. Apparently they wanted you and Annie separated. You didn't know where they brought you, much less where Annie was now.

    Even so, just as it was since the first day they locked you in here three months ago, you said nothing back. "Tch." Annoyed Levi slammed your head against the wall making you groan out in pain, both from the collision and the chains tightening against your skin. "I'm really getting tired of your shit titan scum. Just say the names of the Colossal and Armored already. I don't enjoy spending my time down here in this filthy place and especially with you." You remained silent and kept your face expressionless, your eyes void as well. This was what you were trained for all your life after all. "Damn thing." He said releasing your hair. When he did, you looked down back down at the ground as you always did. "You're lucky we haven't killed you yet." In all honestly, you rather they did. Soon you heard the sound of his boots hitting the ground as he walked out of your cell. 

    When he was gone you let out a sigh. Why did you have to be the one that had to suffer this burden? Why did you posses this ability? Eren. What was he doing? Better yet, how was he doing? Since that time he visited, he hadn't come back down. You couldn't say you were surprised. He probably still needed time to sort things out, or the superiors wouldn't let him. In the past three months, the thing that has kept you from breaking and keeping you as sane as possible was the brunette. His words from his visit swarmed around in your head.

    "I want to understand. Let me understand." You wanted him to.

    "I know deep inside you didn't want to do anything you did. I know you feel regret." He was right. 

    "I'm going to find out who made you do this."  You hoped he didn't because if he did who knows what could happen. 

    "I'm going to find out who made you suffer this burden because I... I still love you (Y/n), even if you never did." He didn't know how wrong he was. You loved him more than life itself. He's the reason you've made it passed these few months. Eren. You felt the tears roll down your cheeks and fall onto the ground below you. 

    "I'm sorry."

    "Still nothing I assume." Erwin guessed at seeing Levi enter his office and slam the door shut. Erwin sat in his seat behind his desk, as Eren, who was also present in the room, sat in a chair in front of the desk. 

    "It's as if the damn brat doesn't have a tongue." Levi said as he sat in a chair beside Eren, placing his feet on top of Erwin's desk. Erwin said nothing, already becoming used to this. 

    "She'll break eventually." Erwin said as he scanned through a document he held. 

    "She better or else I can't guarantee I won't kill her." Eren flinched at hearing this. Everyone else has already accepted you being a murderer and monster, but he couldn't. Eren still believed there was good in you. You were good. You were just placed in a difficult position by someone, and he still wasn't able to figure out who. 

    "Maybe I can try talking with her again." Eren suggested. 
    
    "Not happening." Levi said without question. "We tried it before, it didn't work. We are just going to keep doing what we're doing." 

    "That's just going to make her stay quiet longer! She's more likely to open up to me! She trusts me!" Eren argued back as he stood up from his seat. 

    "In case you forgot you idiot, you were just a pawn to her. She wanted you close so she could get information and so she could kidnap you just like the Female Titan wanted to do." 
    
    "But like I told you last time, I think someone is forcing her to do this!"

    "Enough Eren." Levi said sternly. Eren knew he wouldn't win an argument with the Captain, but maybe... Turning to the Commander Eren looked at him pleadingly. 

    "Commander?" Erwin put down the document he was reading and sighed. Staying quiet he thought. Levi also turned his attention to Erwin, waiting to see what he would answer. Taking a breath, he shook his head. 

    "I'm not completely on board, but I suppose it is worth another try." 

    "Tch." Levi turned his head and sulked while a smile spread across Eren's features. 

    "Thank you Commander Erwin!"

    "Let's just see what happens."

    "Eren?" You asked as you knocked on Eren's door. He didn't respond, but you heard the sniffs of his cries. You felt your heart drop and you slowly opened the door. There Eren sat on his bed, with his hands on his face as he let tears stream down his face. He still had on the bandage from the injury he received during the expedition but you knew it would heal soon enough with his Titan abilities. What those powers won't heal however, was the pain in his heart. Closing his door gently you walked over to him and sat on his bed beside him and wrapped your arms around him. Even was quick to lean into your embrace as he let you console him.

    "T-They're all d-dead." He cried. Closing your eyes you nodded. Being Eren's girlfriend you had spent a great number of time with Squad Levi and had grown close to them as Eren did, but of course things couldn't last forever. 

    "It's not your fault."

    "O-Of course it is!" Eren exclaimed pulling back. It was then that you were finally able to see how red and puffy his eyes were. He had such a devastated and defeated look on his face that you couldn't bare. "If I had transformed sooner... and if we all had fought together with Captain Levi... the Female Titan would be dead! They didn't have to die!" In all honestly, you don't know what to say. You didn't even know Annie was going to show up during the expedition. But you figured that the boss got fed up with waiting for you to try and convince Eren to join you and sent Annie to see if she can get the job done faster. Either way, you could imagine how Annie felt. She didn't like using her power unless demanded, and now having all that blood on her hands most be difficult for her. You should probably go talk to her soon. 

    "Eren." You said focusing you attention back to him. You wrapped your arms around him once more and ran your fingers through his hair "Sometimes things happen that we can't control. Things are just so out of our reach and no matter how hard we might want to change something, we can't." You told him as you reflected on your situation."But, we have to try and be strong and find some sort of good in all the bad." You had met Eren. You learned to love him and you felt loved by him. That alone was enough. You hadn't realized but a tear ran down your cheek. You quickly wiped it away and sat back down beside him. "Sorry. That probably didn't help much." Through his teary eyes Eren smiled at you. 

    "Like I told you before, you have to promise to live through this so we can start our lives together after all of this. I love you (Y/n)." Soon you felt his lips kiss your forehead. 

    Gasping you woke up and just like your dream, Eren stood in front of you kissing your forehead. 

    "I didn't mean to wake you up." He said giving you a small smile. You looked at him eyes wide. You didn't really think you'd see him again. What was he doing down here? Why did he kiss you? Questions floated all over your head as Eren let out a humorless laugh. "That's the first time in a while since you've looked me in the eyes." At hearing this you quickly lowered your gaze once more. He was right, you had been to caught up in the moment that you forgot. "I'm sorry if I started you, it just seemed like your dream was troubling you." He told you as he sat in a chair at the edge of your cell. Of course your dream was troubling you, it was a flashback of the aftermath of the 57th expedition. A few days before everyone figured out you were a titan-shifter. "(Y/n)." You heard Eren say seriously. "I really believe that you did what you did because you were forced. I just need you to tell me who is behind it. Does it have to do with the secret behind the titans? If it does then (Y/n) please tell us! You can help end this!" You wanted to! You really did, but if it gets out that you leaked information, you'll be killed. It wasn't getting killed by the humans that scared you, but the one in charge of everything you did. They'll show no mercy, and you've seen the way they treat someone by just simply questioning orders. You and your fellow titan-shifters had been victims at least once before. Now if that person found out you were a traitor... "(Y/n) you're shaking." You heard Eren say worriedly. You couldn't hold back in front of him anymore, and you began crying. "You're scared of that person aren't you?" He asked as he tucked a piece of your (h/c) behind your ear. 

    "I never wanted to do anything!" You cried out. You looked up to look at Eren who had a surprised look on his face from your cry and at actually hearing your voice again. But after that shock he looked at you with a sad expression. You had tears streaming down your face as you looked at him pleadingly. "Eren you have to believe me! I never wanted to do anything! I didn't have much of choice! I can't anymore! I-I can't live like this anymore!" You sobbed. At that moment you felt him wrap his arms around you and you felt safe. You couldn't hug him back because the chains prevented you from doing so, but even so you felt his warmth. It was something you desperately needed.  
    
    "Who's making you do this?" He asked as he pulled back and looked at your (e/c) eyes with his turquoise ones. You shook your head. He sighed. "The colossal and armored? Is it them?" Again you shook your head. 

    "Along with Annie, they're the closest thing I have to family." You couldn't help but chuckle inside. Trust Eren to be the one who managed to make you open up. You had to admit you felt a bit of relief getting a bit off your chest. 

    "What's the objective of the person in charge?" 

    "Erwin sent you down here didn't he?" You asked changing the subject.

    "How did you know?" 

    "Well Levi wouldn't allow it." You said knowing that the Commander would be more reasonable. Eren nodded, agreeing with that fact. 

    "So back to my question." You sighed.

    "We only know what we're told." Knowing that was all you were going to say on the subject he moved on to the next question. 

    "What do I have to with all of this?" You chuckled. 

    "Trust me, you rather not know." He opened his mouth to say something but you cut him off.  "I'm sorry Eren, but I've said enough. If the boss manages to find out I told more than I should..." You shivered. 

    "They won't hurt you." Eren assured you. You wished he were right, but knowing the situation you knew it wasn't possible. 

    "Where am I?" You asked.

    "I can't tell you." He said rubbing the back of his neck nervously. You scoffed playfully. 

    "Of course not." 

    "I'll talk with the Commander. Maybe he can let you put of here. After all, you didn't do what you did out of free will." You frowned.

    "You know he won't allow it. As long as I'm holding back information I'm still a threat to them. I'm still an accomplice to the shifters after all." 

    "That titan is right Eren." A voice said. You both turned your head and saw Levi standing there. 

    "But Captain!" 

    "At least we know the brat can talk after all. That will make this a lot easier." He said walking toward you as his eyes glared at you. "We're leaving." He grabbed Eren by the uniform and dragged him out. 

    "Captain wait!" Eren cried try to free himself from the small man's grasp. You watched them both leave and mentally reprimanded yourself. Why did you open your big mouth? You could have remained silent and things could have continued as they were. Things were probably going to get harder from here. Even so, you couldn't help but smile. 

    "Eren's too forgiving for own good. I guess that's one of the reasons I fell for him."

    It had been weeks since that all happened and of course Levi, Hanji, Mike, and Erwin were trying their best to get information out of you. They wanted more information on the little you had told Eren. They wanted the identities of your two friends and you didn't tell them. They were family and you would never betray them. You wondered if the Commander and the rest of them were doing the same to Annie? Were they questioning her as well? You hoped she was all right.

    "Time to eat you monster." A guard said as he walked into your cell and unlocked the chains and put on handcuffs. Although you were still restrained you were at least able to move a bit more than with the chains on. The guard put your food on the ground and with difficulty you picked up the bowl of soup and began eating. "Hurry up I don't have all day." You mentally rolled your eyes and continued eating. It was only a few minutes later that you heard a yell. 
"Hey what's going on?!" The guard in front of you yelled. Another guard entered and his face was pale white. 

    "T-The titans... they've made it inside!" Your eyes widen. 

    "What?!"

    "The Commander wants everyone to fight. We need as much people as we can get." The guard nodded his head shakily. The other guard left and the one remaining looked at you angrily before brining his face close to yours. "I'll kill as much as your kind as I can. You're all monsters!" With that he left and you couldn't help but roll your eyes. 

    "Idiot." The guard must have been too startled by the noise to realize he had dropped his keys. Stretching your legs out you placed the keys under your foot and dragged them toward you. It was a good thing you were in the handcuffs and not in the chains or else that would have been more difficult. Though it was hard and required concentration you managed to get the keys to your hands and to the keyhole. Using your teeth you turned the key and clank. The handcuffs fell onto the ground and you were quick to unlock the chains from your feet. You quickly got up but who you did you stumbled. Realizing you had no time to loose, you quickly regained your balance and rushed out of your cell. You didn't know where to go since you had no idea where you were being kept, but you figured they must have you underground. So all you needed to do was find a staircase. If Erwin wanted everyone to fight then you shouldn't run into anyone here. You searched for an exit wanting desperately to see what was happening above. Soon enough you did. There was staircase and ran toward it only to gasp and stop. 

    Glass was shattered all over along with pieces of wood. You figured it was from buildings that were destroyed and managed to fall into the entrance of the underground dungeon. Careful not step on any you moved around carefully and up the stairs. However, before you exited you managed to see yourself in a shard of glass. You (h/c) hair was beyond a mess. Strands of hair stood out everywhere and you looked pale. You realized that you actually had lost a good amount of weight. "Being chained down for a couple of months could do that to a person." You muttered to yourself. You continued walking up the stairs and when you did you saw hell. Everything was like it was during Wall Maria. Everyone was running and you could see the titans looming throughout the city. 

    You couldn't transform because if you that would only draw attention to yourself and that's not what to wanted. You wanted to make sure you got out as swiftly as possible. There was something you had to do. So with that thought in mind you ran. You had to get to your hiding place. A place where the Survey Corps wouldn't find you or the boss. The only people who knew about it were you Annie, the Colossal, and the Armored. You ran across the street and you were foolish to believe you would make it without a problem. It didn't take long until you came face to face with one of them. It was a 10 meter titan, smaller than your own, but of course it was huge compared to your human form. 

    "Well crap." You said. The thing grabbed down to get you but you jumped out of the way and ran. Things would have gone easier if you had your maneuver gear! The titan chased after you and soon enough you made to an alley with a dead end. "Well this day just gets better and better." You muttered. You turned and saw the titan walking toward you. "Damn it!" Was transforming really worth it? If you do and defeat the titan you would draw attention and you wouldn't be able to escape. Dying by a titan might not be so bad compared to getting killed by the boss. The titan got closer to you and extended its hand out. You closed your eyes. Why did you have to be so stubborn? Time passed and you didn't feel it's hand grab you. Confused you looked up and managed to see the titan fall backward dead. What? Looking up to see who killed the titan you gasped. "It's you!" 

    "Damn it (Y/n) you had us worried sick!" The armored titan bringing you into a hug. You quickly hugged back.

    "Are you alright?" The colossal asked worriedly hugging you as well.  

    "I've been better but I'm fine. I'm just so glad to see the both of you!" You exclaimed looking at your two best friends and practically family in their human forms. 

    "You look like shit."
    
    "How did you escape?" You sighed running a hand through your hair.

    "The guard dropped his keys when he found out the news of the titans invading. I took my chance, freed myself, and ran." 

    "Is Annie with you?" You shook your head. They sighed. 

    "Do you know where she is?" You frowned shaking your head.

    "I wish I knew. We were in the same location in the beginning, but they knocked me out one day and I woke up somewhere different. Where are we anyway?" You asked looking around confused. 

    "Some outer district of Wall Rose." The armored answered. 

    "So I'm guessing you guys had to um... you know." The colossal nodded sadly. 

    "We had orders. It was a last minute idea apparently."

    "What are you going to do now?" 

    "End this." You answered seriously. They didn't question you because they knew what you meant. 

    "How? It's impossible."

    "I know, but I have to try. I'm going to our hideout. No one will find me there and once I rest up for a bit I'll take action. I'll sneak around and try to find where they're keeping Annie while also sneaking around the boss. He doesn't tell us everything and I want to find out more. And if I have a chance... I'll end it. I'll free us!" You told them taking your hands in theirs. "We won't live this nightmare anymore!" 

    "If you get caught you're dead." The armored told you worriedly. 

    "We don't want to loose you (Y/n)." The Colossal added. You smiled sadly at them. 

    "You won't, I promise. I'll stay alive for you and for..." You drifted off and they chuckled. 

    "For Eren right?" You blushed and the armored ruffled your hair. 

    "We know you love him. Genuinely love him we mean."

    "Turns out the plan backfired on us didn't it?" The Colossal asked chuckling. You smiled and nodded. 

    "Turns out it did." The three of you then regained your composure and the serious mood returned. 

    "The Survey Corps and the boss will find out you escaped soon enough. You have to be long gone by then before they find you." 

    "I just feel bad leaving you both here like this." You admitted sadly. The Colossal placed a hand on your head. You looked up at the two of them and they smiled. 

    "You have the chance to free yourself from this. Take it."

    "Come with me." You suggested. Three would be better than one anyway.

    "It's better if we stay here. We can cover for you and it'll be less suspicious. It's still not time for us to reveal ourselves yet. It's better the boss think we still work for him and that we don't know what you're planning." You nodded. They had a point.

    "Alright then. It's time for me to go." 

    "Hold on a second." The Armored took off his cloak and maneuver gear and handed it you. "You can manage to get out faster with this."

    "But what about you?" He rolled his eyes. 

    "I can find another one. Just put it on already." You stuck your tongue out at him, but did what he said anyway. You put the hood on so no one would recognize you. 

    "Thanks." He nodded. 

    "Be careful." They both said before hugging you once more. You hugged them back with all your might. You were going to miss them. 

    "I'll free us. I promise!" You told them before you used the gear and fled. Everyone was too busy fighting to notice you and you were glad for that. You turned your head and your eyes widen. Eren was fighting a titan and there was one approaching him from behind as well. Even if he managed to kill the first one he wouldn't make it to kill the second one. You turned your head forward and saw the wall not far ahead. You made it past it, you could begin your plan without being caught but... Making up your mind you turned your gear around and headed towards Eren. Using the blades the Armored gave you, you slashed the nape of the neck the second titan just as Eren killed the first one. 

    "Hey thanks for that." Eren said as you both landed on the roof of a building. He looked up at you and gasped. 

    "(Y/n)! How di-" You quickly placed a hand over his mouth silencing him. 

    "Lower you voice. I don't want anyone to hear." You told him.

    "How did you escape?!" He asked as he hugged you tight. You were finally able to hug him back and you were glad you had turned around to help him. 

    "It doesn't matter." You told him. "All that matters is that I'm going to make things right."

    "What are you going to do?" He asked. 

    "Something that will end this nightmare." He was going to ask but you shook your head. "No questions."

    "You're going to do something dangerous and stupid aren't you?" He asked knowing you all so well. You were stubborn having learned the little you told him you knew it must involve the person in charge. 

    "Perhaps." You answered giggling. 

    "The Commander and everyone will find out you escaped and then-" 

    "And by then I'll be gone and working to fix everything. Don't worry."

    "I do worry because you're getting yourself into trouble. From what you told me I could tell your boss is someone not to be messed with and dangerous! He can kill you!"

    "Not if I don't get caught. I'll be fine." At least you hoped you would be.

    "I can't stop you can't I?"

    "Nope." You said smiling. It's been a while since you smiled and honestly it felt nice to do it again. 

    "Be careful." He said holding your hands in his. "Because remember what you have to do, what you promised me. You have to live through all this so we can live our lives together afterwards." 

    "And you have to promise to do the same because," You leaned into his ear and told him something that made his eyes widen. Looking back at him you smiled and placed your lips onto his. He seemed surprised for a second, but soon enough kissed you back placing one hand on your hip and the other resting on your cheek. After a minute you both parted and smiled at each other. "Well then, until we meet again Eren! And remember what I said!" You told him as you took off once more. Away from the chains and prison. You had only hoped you could free everyone soon as well.

    "What do you mean she bloody escaped?!" Levi yelled at the guard holding him by the collar. Two days after the breach, Eren managed to seal the broken wall once more and things were starting to go back to normal. Well the only thing now was that people had died and you had escaped. 

    "I-I don't know sir." He stuttered terrified. "I-I must of dropped the keys and she freed herself!" 

    "You brats are useless! How could you let this happen?!"

    "I'm so sorry sir!" 

    "Let him go Levi." Erwin said walking in. 

    "Tch. But do you realize what happened because of this idiot?!"

    "I know. Cadet you may go." 

    "Yes sir!" The guard cried before running out. 

    "He should be punished!" Erwin said nothing and just looked at the cell were you had been kept. "Why are you not ordering people to find her?" 

    "I don't think it'll be needed."

    "And why's that?" Levi questioned still not understanding a thing running through Erwin's head. 

    "I don't think she'll cause us problems. In fact, I think she's going to try and fix her own problems." Erwin said simply. "You heard hers and Eren's conversation the day we allowed him down here." He said recalling how he and Levi had stood on the other side of your cell listening in to what information you told him. "I can almost assure you she's going to do something regarding her boss. Maybe she can save us the hassle of ridding it ourselves. Let's go Levi." Erwin walked out and a minute later Levi followed. He didn't agree, but he trusted Erwin and if thats what he wanted then that's that.

    Eren sat on the roof of HQ and watched the sun set. He wondered where you were and if you were alright. What could you be doing? He was worried, but you were strong so perhaps you would be alright. He shook his head. You had to be alright. You promised you would live so you'll both live together. He may of turned out to be accomplice of the enemy, but just like the day he found out, he couldn't hate you. He loved you and always will. As he sat watching the sunset a smile graced his lips as he remembered what you had said in his ear before you had left. 

Flashback 

    "Even though my innocent facade turned out not to be the real me, and everyone sees me as a monster and as a liar, never doubt something Eren. Even though most of everything about me was a lie, my love for you never was. All those moments we spent together were real. I love you Eren. Never doubt that. Out of everything, that is one thing that was not a lie."
